Chapter 1: Where It All Began
Kakashi supposed it started the day when Rin died. Nohara Rin was a sweet little girl who barely reached the tender age of fourteen, when she had been accidentally involved in a freak accident – the car she was riding in had collided with an incoming lorry.
Her injuries were so severe that she died on the way to the hospital.
There was a lot of things about the girl that made the Hatake missed her; her soft brown chesnut-coloured hair, the dark chocolate orbs that she possessed, and the way she would smile when Kakashi and Obito got into one of their rivals-fights again. Her laugh was both sweet and warm
Kakashi left the hospital, a bandage over his left eye. He'd gotten a check up, demanded by Tsunade, who was irritatingly in a different land right now. Kakashi was irritated with her, it didn't seem like she gave a damn. Rin ran after him, she'd helped in the hospital today.
"Hey!" She yelled after him, stopping herself on his shoulder "Didn't you hear me?" She asked, a little hurt that he'd obviously ignored or not heard her.
"Sorry, Rin." he signed. "I must not have heard you. Sorry, just irritated with Tsunade."

Kakashi stared at the man standing before him. His friend and team-mate Obito Uchiha. Obito was wearing his Jonin long-sleeve shirt and black pants, and had a toothbrush in his mouth (likely he was just now getting to brushing his teeth - he'd probably just got up,) as he stared right back at Kakashi, just as surprised to see him there. Kakashi just didn't know what to say but he had a bad feeling that he knew exactly what had happened.
Why did his friend have to be like this?
"Kakashi? What're you doing here at this hour?" Obito asked him, cocking his brows in curiosity.
At this, Kakashi quickly comp

Prologue
The Third Hokage heaved a sigh, and took a drag from his pipe. The sacks beneath his eyes were heavier than usual, and there was a distinct look of grief smouldering in his dark irises. Obito Uchiha wasn't sure what to make of it, but it definitely started to stir a heavy feeling of unease.
Furrowing his brows, the twenty-two year old black sheep of the Uchiha clan was before the Hokage to give his report on the fortnight-long mission in Kusa. But it was evident that there was something the Third wanted to tell him. And it wasn't something good either.
Giving another sigh and preparing himself to speak, the Third l
